Good reasons to think about the certification of your products

Around 30 % of the Swiss population is affected by an allergy or intolerance. This means that about 3,000,000 people in Switzerland are affected and the trend is rising.

A disproportionate number of children and adolescents are affected by food allergies and intolerances. As a result, the social environment (family, kindergarten, school) is also facing particular challenges. Therefore larger target groups are indirectly affected and are very much interested in products suitable for allergies and intolerances.

The requirements for obtaining the Allergy Seal of Quality
In order for food and beverages to be certified, at least one allergy-inducing ingredient (e.g. gluten or lactose) must be demonstrably removed using suitable processes so that a certain limit value is not exceeded. The organisation must also have an appropriate allergen management system in place. Under certain conditions, food and beverages that do not naturally contain the allergy-inducing substance can also be certified.
